Sarcoma uterino en el Hospital Base de Valdivia (HBV), Julio 1991; Junio 2006. Características clínicas, tratamiento y sobrevida.

OBJETIVO: Analizar las características clínico-patológicas, tratamiento y sobrevida de la población portadora de sarcoma uterino en el Hospital Base Valdivia (HBV), durante los últimos 15 años. MATERIALES Y MÉTODO: Se obtuvieron los datos de la nómina de cáncer, informes de biopsia y fichas clínicas, y se analizaron en Microsoft Office Excel 2003. RESULTADOS: Se identificaron 31 casos, recuperándose las fichas clínicas en 23 de éstos. La edad promedio al diagnóstico fue 60 años. El 56% fueron tumores mesodérmicos mixtos y 24% leiomiosarcomas. El tratamiento más utilizado fue cirugía más quimioterapia. La sobrevida global a 5 años fue de 15%. CONCLUSIONES: En concordancia a lo ya publicado, la sobrevida global en todos los estadios fue pobre. Las diferencias de sobrevida según estadio y tratamiento no son significativas debido al pequeño tamaño de la población estudiada.
